community groups
Membership of icc centres on active participation in one of these small groups (each comprising 10-15 people):
- The focus is on building community within the group and seeking ways to impact the wider community of Ipswich in positive, practical ways.
- Activities include weekly meetings in members' homes in various areas of the town and nearby villages (which newcomers to the church are welcome to visit).
"community groups together" evenings
Once each month our community groups meet together for various purposes including:
- More extended worship than is possible in our Sunday Morning Celebrations, with opportunity for the operation and development of spiritual gifts
- Intercessory prayer *
- Breaking of bread
- Training (e.g. we are currently using Jim Cymbala's 'When God's People Pray' Course)
(* we also meet for prayer 7-8am each Wednesday)
